#85 -- J.Low 2011, year 8

One of my bucket list items is to work at Juliette Low Camp for 10 years. This summer I completed my 8th year at JLOW and it was rather amazing.

Walnut smashing
Maggot smashing
Cherry simmering
Archery- janky style
Amazing compound bows
“No Marsha that’s a cock feather.”
“A what?!?”
“A cock feather, it shows where to load it.”
Take the shovel
Face painted, Maggie. “Meow!”
New campers

Staying with the Conners
Late night movies in the basement
Gatorade drunkenness

Two successful Unit talent shows/skits
The Unit party
Whipping my hair back and forth
Lightening striking in camp, the shaking of tents, and my hair standing on end

Glow stick spelling
Myriad of new and unusual bugs
FROGS!
Being attacked by a rogue turkey
Potato products

Wild lizards
Never Have I Ever
Being a bacon fairy
Stick bugs and screaming like a little girl
Saving a few staff members from a terrible dinner
Squishing pee out of the 6 inch foam mattress
Joy riding to the OP for a breakfast cookout
Surviving the stagnant water, hair-filled, poo-smelling tunnel of doom
Projectile puke—at least her distance was impressive
Purging the craft box
Harry Potter 7, the end of an era
More pool time- teaching canoeing
Tree swinging- even if the pictures are awful
Mags looking like a beached whale during her mid-morning nap
The classics

Making fun of her for it
A new Unit Staff
Another year of endless memories
